Minor in computer Science
Throughout my academic journey, I have honed my technical skills in a variety of programming languages and tools through relevant courses at the University of Iowa or on my free time. Some of these courses through the Tippie College of Business include: Operations Management, Database Management, Data Mining, Data Wrangling, and Data Engineering. I also challenged myself with a Computer Science minor, where I enrolled in courses such as Discrete Structures, Computer Organization, and Algorithms.
I’ve enjoyed learning about a variety of tools and methodologies during my time in school. Some of these tools include: Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel), Microsoft Azure, Python, R (RStudio), SQL/T-SQL, Tableau/Power BI, GitHub, and Java. I also taught myself the basics of application development using C#, .NET Framework, and Visual Studio for a competition through USITCC.
These tools have allowed me to work effectively using methodologies such as data analysis, data visualization, data mining/wrangling, and creating a database to run queries against. I am also familiar with data structures and algorithms.
